On this Day Factola July 23   The Birthday of Joellen Lippett, a Friend of the Phonograph       Each year Friends of the Phonograph bring their phonograph inspired artistic creations to display at the Phonograph's birthday party. Joellen's Phonograph Nativity with its wind-up toy Phonograph in the hay-filled crib was one of the most renowned of the art pieces exhibited at December 6 birthday parties. Joellen, a charter member of the Oakland-Emeryville Friends of Phonography, and fellow member Debbie Cooper were also later the creators of the hand-painted Friends of Phonography sign. Although the Friends of Phonography was later renamed The Friends of the Phonograph, the original sign continues to greet each year's Phonograph birthday party attendees.             July 23 Birth Anniversary           July 23 - On this Day Factola .
