The 2005 Phonograph Birthday

128th Birthday

2005 Birthday Party

A Cookie Decorating Contest

One of the Friends of the Phonograph's 128th Birthday celebrations took place on December 6, 2005 in the Sandoz Inc. IT department's office located in Broomfield, Colorado.

The event featured decorating sugar cookies shaped liked phonographs and records, a Phonographia Trivia contest, and finally the eating of the cookies.

Lynn Henry of IT answered all 10 trivia questions correctly and was the recipient of the 2005 Phonographia Trivia Award.

Terry Petersen of QA finished a close second, falling short by only one question. Paul Krason of IT took honorable mention.

Andy Johnson of IT was awarded first prize for his creative ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram) cookie decoration which connected two round cookies to depict his data model for data records.

Consensus was that the cookies shaped like records were very good. It was decided by Quality Assurance that the cookies were not within their scope for record retention and therefore no records needed to be retained per Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), with all cookies accordingly eaten.
